Tom Izzo’s primary instrument is a guitar which he began playing at around age five. Tom is left-handed and self-taught which led him to pick up a right-handed guitar and simply turn it over, essentially playing upside down and backward. It’s an odd trait that reminds him to try to approach creative problems with an open mind.
