Can you believe we’re already halfway through the year?

Whether you set New Year’s resolutions, quarterly objectives, or simply had a few goals in mind back in January, July offers one of the best opportunities of the year to pause and evaluate your progress. The calendar has given us a natural checkpoint. The first half of the year is complete, and the second half is waiting to be written.

Entering Q3 isn’t about dwelling on what didn’t happen. It’s about asking a few honest questions. What’s working? What isn’t? What should you stop doing? What deserves more of your time and attention? Small adjustments made now can have a significant impact by year-end.

One lesson I’ve learned through hundreds of conversations on the Joey Pinz Podcast is that successful people rarely achieve their goals because everything goes according to plan. They succeed because they regularly review, adapt, and keep moving forward with discipline. Progress doesn’t require perfection—it requires consistency.

As we begin the second half of 2026, take a few minutes this week to revisit your goals. You still have six months to create momentum, build better habits, strengthen relationships, grow your business, and finish the year stronger than you started.

The Power of Small Wins

One of the biggest misconceptions about success is that it comes from one big breakthrough. In reality, most meaningful success comes from small actions repeated consistently over time. One workout doesn’t transform your health. One sales call doesn’t build a company. One podcast doesn’t create an audience.

What changes lives and businesses is the compound effect. Reading ten pages every day. Following up with one prospect. Improving one process. Recording one more conversation. Individually, these actions seem insignificant. Collectively, they become extraordinary.

As we enter the second half of 2026, don’t focus on making dramatic changes. Focus on winning today. Then repeat tomorrow.

Your Network Is Built Before You Need It

The strongest business opportunities rarely come from cold outreach. They come from relationships built over months and years.

Every podcast conversation, conference, introduction, and follow-up is an investment. Some pay off immediately. Others may not create an opportunity until years later.

As we head into Q3, challenge yourself to reconnect with people you’ve met this year. Send a note. Schedule a coffee. Offer help without expecting anything in return. Relationships compound just like investments.
